Strategy Miner
Set the search. The machine does the mining.
Strategy Miner tries thousands of indicator, condition and parameter combinations on past bars and puts each one through fit checks and stress tests. What survives is a short list you can open, refine and export.

- Pick one of seven currency pairs, H1 or H4, two to five years of bars, buy, sell or both, and how many candidates to keep.

The sieve
Most candidates do not make it through.
A strategy that only fits the data it was found on tends to fall apart on data it has not seen. The checks below are there to drop those candidates.

Does it hold up on data it was not fitted to?

Search period
A candidate has to do well on the stretch of history the search ran on.
- 02
No near-duplicates
A candidate that is the same idea as one already kept, or that enters on mostly the same bars, is removed.

Later, unseen period
It then has to hold up on a later stretch of data the search never saw — out-of-sample (OOS).

Other pairs
Finally it is run on the other currency pairs, and has to hold up on at least half of them.
Stress tests
A candidate that passes the fit checks is then pushed around to see whether it breaks. It has to pass all four.

Nudged settings
Each number in it — periods, levels, stop and target distances — is moved by roughly 10 to 20 percent, ten times over. Most of those neighbours must still not lose money.

Shuffled trades
Its trades are put in a random order and a share of them is left out, 200 times. Even the unlucky end of those runs has to finish in profit, with a drawdown inside a limit.

Costlier spread
The same trades are run again with the spread doubled. It must still not lose money overall.

Steady across years
More than half of the calendar years must be profitable, no single year may supply most of the profit, and the later period must not fall far behind the earlier one per trade.
Candidates are fitted to past data and may be chance fits. They are starting points to test, not recommendations.
